Yes, its another of those crazy translations*
As seen on a T-shirt, on sale in Lanzarote….
“FOREVER FOR NOW”, IMMACULOY, CONKYBOY, HEAVY CLOUDS DRAPE US STRING EL BOWS SIGNAL US, HOPE IS SUPREME, STRAY SOULS PRAY FOR US, we are ready and willing to ignite, JUST BORN TOO LATE STAND, COMPANIONSHIP, cverything bealong to us we are oxelhed insecure apprehensive, EVASION.
Its complete gibberish isnt it? Not even particularly correct English either.
Now I got to thinking, you know when you buy a T-shirt and its got some random Russian foreign writing on? Here is the same text made into pseudo-Russian.
You wouldnt even worry about it would you? You’d just think “nice colours, fits ok, not to tight round the boobies” and buy it.
Next time, I want you to think “But, what if I ever meet a Russian?”
You know he’s gonna laugh!
*Yes, I know, the Chinese sweat-shop worker that translated this into English for a Spanish speaking market probably earns a pittance despite their English being much better than my Chinese will ever be. I’m just having a laugh, dont hate me!
String elbows?
See, this is why I’d never get a tattoo in a language other than English, or in an alphabet other than one I can definitely read!
As late as this is, the shirt is actually an illegitimate recreation of a shirt from an early Raf Simons (belgian fashion designer) collection, the original shirt has the WE ARE READY AND WILLING TO IGNITE, JUST BORN TOO LATE phrase, as well as others which are mistranslated in this shirt, which I believe were either exerpts from short poems or peices by an artist, I can’t recall.
