See ya next week 🙂
The scales said 11 Stone 2 Pounds yesterday, though the Wii thought it was more like 11 Stone 1 Pounds 🙂
I’ve been really good today, a broccoli soup for lunch, plenty of fruit and no snacks.
I really hope to get under the 11 stones mark this week. It will be the first time I’ve been in the 10 stone range for several years.
Just heard someone on TV use the line “I’m not going to tell you again to pick up your clothes!”
It reminds me that when I was a boy and my mum used that line, I would always reply, “Good, because I’m tired of hearing you say it!”
God, I was a wilful and insubordinate child 😉
I was pleasantly surprised by the read-out on the scales this morning. I must confess to being very naughty over the last two days. It started on Monday evening when I suggested we had a well earned treat for our Evening meal. We first thought of the Indian buffet, but we’d done that last week so decided to go all out and have KFC!
Paul drove round and collected our usual, a Variety Bucket containing 4 pieces on the bone, 4 breast strips, 4 bags of fries and a small popcorn chicken. In the time it took him to return from the drive-thru, I had opened and heated a tin of baked beans to go on the side.
What’s that I hear you gasp, “That’s too much food for two people?” Well, yes it is, I’ll grant you that. In fact, it lasts us 2 meals, we ate our fill on Monday and then finished off the remainder on Tuesday evening 🙂
Considering this, you’ll see why I’m pleased not to have gained any weight, never mind hoping to have lost any!
You can see here that I’ve made amends tonight, here’s my evening meal, Lime and Coriander Salmon on a bed of Potato cakes with a drizzle of tomato olive oil and a grinding od chilli and garlic.
Lets see what that does for my waistline 🙂
I promise, I have some ideas for real posts soon, until then humour me, ok?
I was recently irked by these otherwise wonderful olives.
Lets take a closer look, can you spot the irksome item?
Yes indeed, thats right, the complete absence of the promised pimento paste is quite a dissapointment!
Given that fact, I still have to say that the olives themselves were still fabulous 🙂
I ventured into the loft the other day, thinking to quickly stow the new LCD TV box in case of needing to return it, should it fail. I’m practical like that, something learned from my Mother the notorious hoarder. Unfortunately this turned into an hours job when I realised that I couldnt find space because of all the other boxes already up there.
Some thing had to be done and since some of these boxes are for things that are well passed their guarantee period, they had to go.
You might think that after this impressive clearout, there would be room up there to dance a dainty tango! Sadly no, there are probably just as many, if not more boxes still up there 😦 So, can you guess what I’ll be doing next weekend?
I’ve been pretty lazy about keeping up this here record of my weight loss attempts. Sorry abut that, I’d like to say it wont happen again, it probably will though, so lets just leave it at that 🙂
So we got back from holiday without having ballooned out of control and I’ve been trying to be good since. As you can see, nothing much is moving, I’m now 11’5. I do feel thinner, like I’ve lost inches not weight, can that happen?
We got a Wii Fit in the week and have been having great fun with games and workouts on that. Maybe that will help get me moving, according to the trainer my ideal weight should be 10 Stone and a BMI of 22.
Check back soon(ish) for more updates 🙂
Today, we went to Mexborough, my old home town. Which, although I wasnt stepping down from a train, did look just the same.
We were on a mission from the Easter bunny, delivering eggs in advance of the upcoming Sunday “thing”
I presented Nephew Joe with a beautiful Creme Egg and bless him, he smiled sweetly for a moment, then informed me he doesnt like Creme Eggs. Ever the resourceful Uncle, quick as a flash I delved into my bag and produced a Smarties egg originally destined for Nephew Owen.
Sadly, this egg cut no ice. Nephew Joe is 5 years old and a proper little man with a developed personality, he didnt hesitate to explain that he doesnt like Smarties.
“What do you like?”, I asked.
He replied, “chocolate, just chocolate”
“So what’s wrong with Smarties?”
“They’re to crispy”
“and Creme eggs?”
“So what chocolate do you like?”
Luckily, my Mum had some mini dairy milk bars that I could substitute for the Creme Eggs.
So there you have it, a 5 year old that wont eat or drink anything sweeter than water or solid chocolate, who heard of such a thing?
But do you know, he is my Nephew and I love him!
